Summer of Love at Shakespeare’s Globe

Witness some of the great Shakespearean romances within the authentic setting of the Globe. Having launched in April with Daniel Kramer’s spirited reimagining of Romeo and Juliet, this special season continues with artistic director Emma Rice’s lively interpretation of comedy Twelfth Night. Productions still to come include associate director Matthew Dunster’s take on classic tale of mistaken identity, Much Ado About Nothing, and theatre veteran Nancy Meckler’s attempt at the tragic King Lear. Expect the unexpected.

Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre 2017 Season

Wander down to this beautiful Royal Park for a theatrical experience under the stars. The programme boasts adaptations of two Charles Dickens novels; the revolutionary drama A Tale of Two Cities and the bustling tale of Oliver Twist, along with lively musicals On the Town and Jesus Christ Superstar. Combining world-class performances and a serene setting with music by the likes of Leonard Bernstein and Andrew Lloyd Webber, this promises to be one of the venue’s most exciting seasons to date.

Hampton Court Palace Festival

Bask in the sound of musical talent ranging from Van Morrison to Corinne Bailey Rae, as this renowned festival of open air concerts returns for its latest outing. Held in the historic gardens of Henry VIII’s tudor palace, the event’s stunning setting will provide the perfect backdrop for a pre-show picnic before the entertainment begins. The final day will see a firework display accompanied by the sound of the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, ensuring that another year at this one-of-a-kind festival goes out with a bang.
